selena on barney

selena gomez was just a little gir when she was bitten by " the acting bug" in grand prairie, texas. "my mom did theater and i loved memorizing her lines with her and watching her rehearse, and i told her that i wnated to do what she did,but television," explains selena."so i asked her and she was there to support me 100% and she thought it might be a phase, that it would fo away- and it ended up sticking!"

despite the fact that texas isn't exactly known for its opportunities in television, selena managed to learn about one series that was shot in the loner star state: barney & friends. you can imagine how excited she was to find out that an open call was being held- on her birthday, of all days. and so on her seventh birthday, she went and waited outside in the heat with about 1,500 other kids, all hoping for their shot at superstardom.
